Build Your Own Ant Farm Workshop (Saturday 7th November 2026)
Build Your Own Ant Farm Workshop
When? Saturday 7th November 2026 | 13:00 pm - 14:45pm
Where? Ants HQ, 374-380 Lillie Road, The Creighton Centre, London, SW6 7PH, UK
Ages: 7-18
Get hands-on and build your own ant habitat using the popular Myrmeco nano starter kit. Assemble your setup step-by-step with guidance from one of our experts, then take it home with beginner-friendly ants to watch as they build their empire and settle into their new space.
During the workshop, you’ll see thriving live colonies up close and learn the basics of responsible ant keeping. We’ll explore how ants create tunnels, care for their young, and divide tasks to keep their colony running smoothly.
You’ll learn ant keeping basics along the way, with time for questions. Children are encouraged to ask questions, observe carefully, and discover what makes these small insects such powerful team players. Perfect for curious kids and budding mini-scientists. 🐜
No prior knowledge is needed, just a curious mind!
Please note: An adult must accompany any attending kids (the adult may observe for free).

My go to place, large selection of ants and top quality service. My ant empire is slowly growing with the latest edition of Acromyrmex octospinosus which was well packed and the fungus has next to no die off from the shipping.
I recieved my lovely Myrmecia nigriceps queen in haste. Box was well packaged; Temperature was well defended against, and disturbance was well reduced with 2 layers of loose packing peanuts, one outside of the polystyrene box, and one inside...
We bought this for our granddaughter, as she had a pet garden ant that sadly passed way. We got The formiLab (nano) ant nest starter kit. The ant colony is Messor barbarus with one queen and 2/5 workers and there are brood too! Everything you need to get started...
A wonderful company bringing ants to the masses. My son and I attended a workshop with Cesar today. He was wonderfully knowledgeable and handled 8 children so well who were excited about being ant keepers....
