Need more nest space without taking up more surface area? The formiLAB (L) Stacking Kit System is the perfect solution for growing colonies that need room to expand upwards. This vertical setup not only saves on space but also encourages natural climbing behaviours, allowing your ants to explore their environment in a more dynamic way.

This kit includes two formiLAB (L) nests, securely stacked and connected to form a stable, multi-level nest. Each level is fully sealed with screw-fit connectors for maximum strength and long-term stability, ideal for larger or more active colonies.

The base level includes room for a heat cable or mat. You can also customise your setup with your choice of plaster or sponge as the nest’s hydration source, these can be swapped or replaced at any time.

Want to monitor conditions inside the nest? Choose to include our bluetooth temperature and humidity sensors for real-time data straight to your phone.

This modular system is also modular and further expandable (see images), add more formiLAB (L) nests as your colony continues to grow.
