Designed specifically for housing one Leaf Cutter Ant Fungus Pod year round, this heating box creates a stable thermal environment to support optimal fungus cultivation no matter the room temperature.
 
Supplied flat-pack with detailed instructions, it includes everything needed to maintain the essential conditions required for healthy fungal growth in Atta and Acromyrmex colonies.
 
Stable temperature, removes condensation

Fungus gardens thrive at approximately 24.5–25°C and 95–100% humidity. Achieving this in a standard room environment year-round is often impractical. This heating box is designed to maintain consistent internal temperatures using two 15W, 4m heat cables, secured in place with dedicated top and bottom cable clips. The fungus pod sits securely inside the unit, benefiting from even, enclosed heating, minimising temperature fluctuations and reducing internal condensation.
 
Prevention through design 

Without enclosed heating, condensation may form inside the fungus pod due to temperature differentials between pod and room. This can obscure visibility and potentially harm the fungus garden. The heating box maintains an internal environment close to the fungus pod’s target temperature, significantly reducing this risk. For setups where condensation still appears, the heating system can be complemented with a 40mm USB fan (sold separately), which introduces cooler air through the feeding pod and stabilises the airflow inside the system.
 
Integrated monitoring & efficient setup

A Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor is included for precise environmental tracking inside the heating box. The box is designed with rear cut-outs for hydration pipe routing and power cables, as well as 32mm side openings for connecting to feeding or waste pods.
 
Covers are supplied for any unused ports, ensuring a sealed environment until expansion is needed.
 
Once assembled, the system requires minimal maintenance. Simply connect the heating cables to your preferred thermostat and position the probe inside the unit. Set the target temperature to maintain 24.5–25°C for optimal fungal development.
