Our Feeder Insert has been carefully designed to fit our test tube range.
Due to slight variations in test tube sizing from our supplier, a snug fit may occasionally require a single wrap of standard sellotape around the end of the insert.
The feeder features two separate compartments: one intended for sugar-based foods such as Anotherswarm Ant Nectar, honey, or alternative sugary sources, and the other for protein. This ensures your colony can access essential nutrients with minimal mess inside the test tube itself.
Incorporating small air holes for ventilation, this insert is not recommended for micro species.
The integrated stand stabilises the test tube, preventing unwanted rolling. It also allows the use of heat cables or heat mats beneath the tube to provide additional warmth where necessary.
We recommend purchasing two inserts per test tube, enabling quick swaps between clean and used inserts. Please take particular care when cleaning: wash with lukewarm water only, at temperatures no higher than 30°C, to prevent deformation.
