Fruit flies are originally able to fly however, these very small flies, have been specifically bred to be flightless and live for around a month in our self-contained pot. This means that you don't have to worry about pesky flies hovering around the house when it comes to feeding times!
 
Our Drosophila hydei cultures offer a versatile protein source to your ants. These small (2-3mm) flies are suitable for a range of circumstances, from young semi-claustral queens to small founding colonies, all the way to mature empires. 
 
We always prioritise maximum freshness and cultures sent will be quality checked prior to being sent out. 
 
All live food is fed with vitamin packed fruits and natural supplements.
